超音波ガイド下での針生検は、病変により近接して穿刺することが可能であるために、CTガイド下のものよりも、診断精度と安全性の点で優れる。特に、大動脈の周囲の病変などの体表から遠い病変に対しては、その利点が大きい。

Ultrasonically-guided needle biopsy is superior to CT-guided needle biopsy on its diagnostic accuracy and safety because this method enables more close punctures into lesion. Especially it is advantageous when the lesion is located not close to the surface of the body like around aorta.
