Good enough for four stars
Thank you!!
May I ask a question? Why did you change "!" into "." in the first line? I had three native checkers at my last project and one of them changed all of "!" into "." but other ones left "!". Do you think Japanese people use "!" (and sometimes "☆" or "♪") too much?
Most "native checkers" are not editors so they don't do anything more than check spelling and grammar. Japanese use exclamation points (!) more than are used in English. In many/most cases, they don't need to be in the translation. And characters like ☆ and ♪ (or ^^ or 汗) should NEVER be in a translation since they are not used in English. Instead, the wording should be changed or they should simply be deleted.
Thank you so much. I was wondering about it and even my boss who has been a translator for 10 years couldn't answer why some checkers always delate exclamation points.
