今日のNGWの出発地点はこの富士河口浅間神社です。この神社は富士山をまつっている神社です。今日は自然の中を歩くことがメインテーマですが、ここでレクチャーをするのにはちゃんと理由があります
この神社の祭神は浅間大神といいます。
名を木花咲耶姫命と言います。木花咲耶姫命は大変綺麗なお姫様の神様で、日本という国を作った奈良の大和という国に嫁いだのだそうです。また、木花咲耶姫命は富士山の化身とされていて、そのため富士山をまつっているこの浅間神社の祭神となっています。

Today’s NGW tour starts from this Asana shrine. This shrine enshrines the Mt. Fuji. Although the purpose of tour today is to explore the nature by foot, there is certain reason of having lecture here. The deity this shrine is dedicated to the Asama Okami who manifests as Konohana-no-Sakuyahime. According to legend, Konohana-no-Sakuyahime was a very beautiful princess and married into a family resided in Yamato, Nara where the country of Japan was said to be originated. Moreover, she was believed to be a manifestation of Mt. Fuji so as to be the deity of this Asama shrine
