A coach will not receive a passing score for establishing trust and intimacy with the client on the ACC exam if the coach demonstrates significant interest in the coach’s view of the situation than the client’s view of the situation, does not seek information from the client about the client’s thinking around the situation, does not seek information about the client’s goals regarding the situation, or the attention seems to be on the coach’s own performance or demonstration of knowledge about the topic.

指導者は依頼者のシチュエーションに対する観点からではなく、自分自身の観点で興味を持っていたと判断された場合、依頼者がシチュエーションに対してどう思っているかによって情報を引き出さなかった場合、シチュエーションにさいして依頼者の最終目標を見出さなかった場合、そして焦点が指導者自身のパフォーマンス、およびトピックに対する知識の披露であると判断された場合、ＡＣＣテストにおいて、依頼者との信頼と親交を勝ちえなかったとして、合格点を受け取ることはできない。
