Free!は2013年の夏、もっとも注目されているアニメの一つです。
小学生の頃、同じスイミングクラブに所属していた四人の男の子が、高校生になって再会します。
HarukaとMakotoは高校二年生になり、そこに高校一年生になったNagisaが合流します。
三人は昔通っていたスイミングクラブが取り壊されることを知り、皆で埋めたタイムカプセルを回収しに向かいます。
そこでオーストラリアへ留学していたハズのRinとも再会しますが…。
このアニメの魅力は、「水の表現」と「筋肉美」です！

Four boys who were in the swimming club during elementary school, would meet up again when they became high school students.
Haruka and Makoto becomes high school sophomores, and they met up with Nagisa who is a high school freshman.
The three would come to know that the swimming club they had been going to long ago has been demolished, and they are headed to recover the time capsule that they all had buried.
This is where they also met up again with Rin who was supposed to be studying overseas in Australia...
This anime's charm point is the "water expression" and "muscle beauty"!
