備考: 以前1:1で英語を教わった先生への、久々のご挨拶とご報告のメールです。

東南アジアの中では、唯一英語が公用語というのもラッキーです。
中国語も公用語の一つなので、余裕ができたら勉強したいと思っています。

今年の5月に着任し、最低でも2年、もしかしたら5年以上の長い期間になるかもしれませんが、
良い機会だと思い、全力で仕事に取り組み、また全力でプライベートも楽しもうと思います。

It fortunate that it is the only South East Asian nation where English is an official language.
Chinese is also an official language, so I am thinking about studying it when the circumstances allow it.

I have been assigned to this position since this May will stay a minimum of 2 years, or possibly for as long as 5 years or longer, so I consider this a good opportunity to work with all my efforts and also enjoy my private times as much as I can.

If you should ever visit Singapore, please do let me know.
