The V3s in particular are designed exclusively for motor traffic and the roads are bordered by high walls with no access whatsoever along the whole stretch except for the auto service stations. This is a decisive innovation.


The eight apartment blocks would have been similar to the Unité d'Habitation at Marseilles, each containing a Local Core in four parts: a shopping street in the centre of each block; a children 's club on each floor; a centre for games and exercise on the roof; and an open park around the pilotis that form the base of each block.
