盗んだ人は、初詣に（荷物が少なかったのでおそらく日帰りで）出かけた帰り道で、もなちゃんに遇った。今、女性は後悔しているけれど、送り届けるには彼氏の協力（車や日程調整）が必要なので迷っている。

付近にビラを配るとともに、家の門の前の目につく所に、Mを戻してくれるようお願いする張り紙のようなものを設置すると、何かのきっかけになるかもしれません。

The things my intuition told me during the communication, rather than the things from animals:
The person who stole her encountered Miss Mona on her way back from Hatsumoude (her first visit of the year to temples) . ( It was maybe a day trip was she did not have much luggage.
She is regretting now. Yet she is undecided as she need the help ( to get a car and to arrange the date) from her boyfriend to send M home.

It could make something happen if you put fliers to return M in somewhere noticeable and give fliers away in the area.
