This hut was higher than the ones behind it which means when you opened the door out to the bathroom you could be seen by the other people sitting outside their huts ( if you were a woman you would have to make sure your top half was covered up.) The lighting was very poor, get packing done the day before as the one light in the room couldn't have been more than 25 watts. The steps up to the hut were bamboo trunks so not easy the climb up.
A plus side with the wind was it kept the hut very cool, no need for the fan, and no mosquitos which was supprising, maybe the noise of the wind at night kept them away, kept me up all night or was it the banging of the poorly fitted / cracked windows.
