国の調査隊が不識地区から持ち帰ったサイバーダルマは、簡易ラボの巨大なネオ・ファラデーケージに入れられ、多数のケーブルに繋がれた。
ケージの中では全電磁場が完全に遮断されるため、サイバーダルマは電脳環境にアクセスできない。ケーブルも幾重にも強化電磁シールドが巻かれており、サイバーダルマがそれを伝って外部環境にアクセスできない仕様になっていた。
しかし、調査三日目にして、ケージの中のサイバーダルマは忽然と姿を消した。多数のケーブルとともに。
