「素材と造作のちから」は、マテリアル・造作家具に焦点を当てた、新ビジネス創出を推進する特別企画。
コンセプトディレクターを務めた建築家の芦沢啓治氏は、「完成品よりも素材や技術にフォーカスした一風変わった展示になると思う」と話し、今回はアクリル、組子などの出品があると説明した。
また、「友達の家に行くと本棚の中身が気になるように、われわれ建築家は、ほかの建築家のバックヤードにどんな素材があるのかが気になる」と、6人の建築家が注目するリソースを展示する企画も発表した。

"Power of Raw Material and Creation" is a special project to promote the creative new business, focusing on material and creative furniture. Keiji Ashizawa, the architect who worked as a concept director, said, "This exhibit will be unique, in the way that focuses more on the material and technique rather than the finished piece." He added that acrylic and kumiko products will be displayed this time. He also introduced a project to display the resources which six architects are paying attention to, saying "In the same way as being curious of the contents of a friend's bookshelf, we architects wonder the material contained in the backyard of other architects."
