We would like to make this short information regarding the crop 2011 and market for black/gourmet vanilla.

It is our concern to let you know that the crop 2011 is reported to have problems regarding quality. It is said to have unstable quality with low vanillin content, fermentation and moulds...containers are apparently sent back to Madagascar every month from overseas. From our understanding the vanilla beans were rejected by the buyers for the facts listed above.

Therefore we strongly recommend that you will be prepared for possible problems if you bought vanilla from this crop. We suggest that you have the lots tested several times for vanillin content.

言いづらい事ですが、2011年の収穫では品質面で問題があったとの報告を受けています。報告書によると品質が安定しておらず、バニリンの量も少なく、発酵し、カビも見えると。海外の取引先からは毎月コンテナがマダガスカルに送り返されてきたそうです。上記の理由から、バニラビーンズが顧客から受け取りを拒否された。と言う意味だと受け取っています。
