It made me think about what would happen if my girlfriend would get deformed, could i still love her? Would I leave her? ...why would I be driven to kill her? It made me think about inner beauty versus outer beauty. What matters most, what if it suddenly changes? A pretty person becomes deformed, or a beautiful inner character gets nasty and angry, and also what type of person would do what the samurai did? and why? and can I make it make sense in today's world?
Then, Oiwa, haunting the samurai until he went crazy and killed himself, made me wonder what if Yotsuya would still haunt people today with her deformed face to drive people crazy and punish ugly characters by recruiting beautiful people.
