昨年発生した新型コロナウイルスは、私たちの生活に大きな変化をもたらしました。LAでは現在、ワクチン接種が進み再開にむけ社会が動き出していますが、昨年多くの感染者と死者、数ヶ月に渡るロックダウンなど、健康面のみならず経済面においても甚大な被害を被りました。ご寄稿いただくメッセージは、厳しい時期を過ごし乗り越えてきたLAの日系コミュニティへの、励ましとなることと存じます。

The COVID-19 that happened last year has a big impact on our daily life. In LA, the vaccination has proceeded in order to reopen social life. However, we had been facing difficulties that a large number of infection, related death, and lockdowns for over a month. The impacts terribly influenced not only health but also the economy. We are sure your message will encourage the Japanese community in LA to get through the tough time ever.
