旧大越娯楽場

日本を代表する建築学者 今 和次郎 設計の1926年に建築されました。
繭やたばこの共同出荷場に使用され、出荷がない時期になると村民のための娯楽施設として、
映画や演劇などが上演されていました。
1950年に大越町の所有になり、1975年には武道館となって現在に至る。
建築当時の姿をよく保ち、数少ない今 和次郎の作品として貴重な建築です。

Old Daietsu Amusement Area

In 1926, it was constructed by Kon Wajiro who is a famous Japanese architectural scholar.
It was used as a corporate shipment place for a cocoon and tobacco, and when there was no shipment, movie, theater or others were played for villager as an amusement area.
In 1950, Daietsu-cho belonged it, and it has became the Budokan since 1975.
This structure has remained as good as original apperance, and it is a precious construction as Kon Wajiro's few work.
