So we should be able to get the C79 reissued by HMRC, however the process will take a while and it will be even loner due to the current situation. I will need to complete the attached letter with your details and also make sure that you include the copy of the C88. I have highlighted the sections that need you fill in in Yellow on the attached letter. Once you have completed the letter, I can send the letter and a copy of the C88 document, to HMRC.






C79s can be used up to 4 years after the original date of issue, and so we will just be able to include it on this clients next VAT return, we will not have to do a correction for previous returns.



I will think we can still use C88 in order to claim the import VAT
