日本進出当初、権利処理されていない動画に対するコンテンツプロバイダからの抗議が殺到したが、調整を行う立場の国内パートナーがいなかったこともあり、対応に時間を割かれ、広告セールスの拡大に至るまで長い時間を要してしまった。その後2010年にD社が本格的な広告セールスを扱うようになり、1Qで前比400％の売上増を達成した。
ほとんどのクライアントやメディアが代理店を通して行っているが、広告担当者は代理店から受けた案件について、社内で調整を行いクライアントと直取引を行ってしまった。
When the business was started in Japan, complaints from contents providers were flooded against the movies, which right processes were not properly handled. Due to lack of domestic partner who should've taken care of complaints, huge amount time was required to solve the issue, which caused the long delay in expanding advertisement sales. Later in 2010, D company started handling the full-scale advertisement sales, which achieved huge sales increase in first quarter by 400%, comparing the last period.
Most of client and/or media go through agent. However, person in charge of advertisement have completed the deals, which is received from agent(s), directly with clients, coordinating only internally.
