『米国トヨタ、プリウスv など6車種値上げ』
米国トヨタはこのほど、『プリウスv』（日本名プリウスα）などトヨタブランド5車種とサイオン『tC』の小売希望価格を5月生産分から値上げすると発表した。値上げ率は0.2～1.5％で、金額では50～270ドルとなる。
Toyota USA to Raise Retail Prices of Prius v and 5 Other Models
Toyota USA has announced that they will raise the retail prices of its 5 brand models including Prius v (aka Prius α in Japan) and Scion tC, starting from May production. The retail prices for those models will increase about 0.2 to 1.5 percent, or about 50 to 270 dollars.
トヨタブランドではプリウスvのほか、『カムリ』、『カムリハイブリッド』、『ハイランダーハイブリッド』およびピックアップトラックの『タコマ』を対象とする。トヨタ自動車によると、「他社との競合状況などを見ながらモデルイヤー途中に行う通常の価格改定」という。
米国トヨタは2011年末にも、トヨタ、レクサス、サイオンの一部車種について、同年12月の生産分から値上げを実施した。円高で悪化している採算性を改善するため、競争力のあるモデルについては機動的に価格改定に動いている。
Beside prius v, Toyota brand also contains "Camry", "Camry hybrid", "highlander hybrid" and "Tacoma". According to the Toyota Motor Corporation, it is said that "the normal price revision is performed while watching the competing situation with other companies in the model year ".
