CHAPTER 21-1
You want to work with employees to get them to ~ strengthen their weaknesses. But don't make the fatal mistake of focusing on their weaknesses. Find ways to reorganize the jobs so that each employee is doing work in an area of strength. But don't take away any challenges for the employee to grow.
A chance to blossom
Let's face facts. No one wants to be in a position of doing something hated and constantly facing failure or the chance for reprimand for a substandard job. If you give employees the chance to do what they like and to use their gifts, they will begin to blossom. They will he motivated to pay you back by making you look good.

従業員と共に働いていくことで、彼らの弱点を強化していってあげたいと思うはず。しかし、彼らの弱点に焦点を置くという決定的な過ちは犯さないよう心がけたい。各従業員が強みをもつ分野の仕事を手がけられるよう、彼らの仕事を再整理していく方法を見つけ出そう。だが、従業員が成長していく上で重要なチャレンジの数々は排除しないようにしよう。
花開くチャンス
事実を見つめてみよう。嫌がられている事を行ったり、随時失敗を重ねる事、または標準以下の仕事に対して叱責を受ける事など、誰も好むはずはない。従業員に彼らが好む仕事を与え、彼らの持って生まれた才能を発揮してもらうことで、彼らは花開くのだ。彼らはやる気を起こし、あなたに便宜を図ることであなたへの恩返しをしてくれるだろう。
