"Tan-ka" is one of the forms of Japanese rhymes. It is composed by the five-seven-five-seven-seven words, total thirty one words. This style was accomplished more than 1000 years ago, yet it is still familiar to most Japanese people. This application includes 22 Tanka poems, made by Mr Taro YAMADA when he was in a college, who now is a businessman and a poet. Tanka is one typical Japanese poetic style and it's composed of 5-7-5-7-7 series of syllables. It's invented more than a thousand years ago and is still popular among many Japanese today. This application includes 22 tankas of Taro Yamada (a salary-man and a poet). You can learn Japanese using this application, as it also contains poems in Japanese, too.
