The summer daytime hours in Portland is so long! In Japan, although it is still bright after 7pm, it will get dark by 9pm. The children will be on summer vacation so this season should be very fun for all of you. How do you juggle the responsibilities of being a working mother? For Japanese working mothers like us, we entrust the kids to the grandparents or let them go for classes or get a babysitter to look after them when we are not around.
小学校一年生から三年生の終わりまでは学童保育と言う制度があり、放課後や休みの日に5:00pmまで子供達をお世話してくれる場所にあずけます。もうすぐサラやショウマも夏休みになります！来週の木曜日から8月28日までです。どこかへ遊びに連れて行かないと。
また、夏には神戸でも花火大会や盆踊り大会があります。8月4日に花火大会があり、わたし達の家から見えるので、またmovieをLINEで送るね。

There is a system called a school daycare for children between 1st and 3rd graders where my kids spend till 5:00 pm after school and on my days off. Sarah and Shoma will be on summer break soon! It will start next Thursday till the 28th of August. I have to take them somewhere during the summer break.
Also, there will be a fireworks festival and a dancing festival in Kobe in the summer. There is a fireworks festival on the 4th of August, and it can be seen from our house so I will send a video by LINE.
