アルコタンニンレザーは姫路レザー有限会社のオリジナル皮革で、”脱クロム製法”を採用した高品質皮革素材です。
クロムレザーの軽くて丈夫な耐久性と、タンニンレザーの革本来の風合いやエイジングの美しさを兼ね揃えています。
革は、原皮と呼ばれる動物の生の革を腐らないように加工されたものですが、
この革の質は、原皮の質や加工技術に大きく左右されます。
What is Arco Tannin Leather
Arco Tannin Leather is an original leather of Himeji Leather Co., Ltd. and high quality leather material adopting "Hybrid(de-chromium) method.
It has the light and robust wearability of Chromium leather, leather oriented texture of Tannin leather, and the beauty of the aging.
The leather is processed to make the animal raw leather, which is called raw hide and skin, not decay. However, the quality of this leather is greatly affected on the quality of raw hide and skin or processing technique.
姫路レザーでは、業界40年のベテランが直接選別をして、質の良い原皮を仕入れています。
また、鞣しの方法も特殊で、クロム鞣しとタンニン鞣しの良いところを合わせた脱クロム製法と呼ばれる特殊な鞣しを行っています。これは、クロム鞣しで浸透したクロムから、わざわざほとんどのクロムを抜き取ってから、タンニン鞣しを行うという手間の掛かる手法になります。
これによりヌメ革の特性とクロム革の軽くて丈夫を兼ね備えたアルコタンニンレザーとなります。
