結婚しなさい。
良妻なら幸せになれる。
悪妻なら私のような哲学者になれる
私は荒野に住むことを選ぼうと思います。
鉄が鉄に打たれることで鋭く研がれるように、本当の友だちはしばしの痛みを与えてでも、友を真理の上に立つように助けます。
このような友だちこそが良い友だちです。間違ってることをはっきりと間違っていると言ってくれる人が本当の友だちなのです。そのような友達に恵まれれば自分も磨かれていきます。
Reading these words, I remembered the words of Socrates.
Get married.
With a good wife you will be happy.
With a bad wife you will become a philosopher like me.
I think I shall choose to live in a wasteland.
In the way that iron is struck with iron and sharply honed, a true friend will help a companion stand on truth even if it may cause them pain for a while.
A friend like this is certainly a good friend. Someone who will clearly tell a person they are wrong is the wrong-doer's true friend. As long as you have that kind of friend you can continually improve.
