現場ではひどい虐待を受けた子供たちに接することもあります。精神的に落ち込んで自殺を考える子たちは、身の安全のため病院に来てもらいます。しかし、子供やその両親が同意しない場合児童保護の手続きが必要となり、説得できない場合は強制的に入院してもらうこともあります。子供や両親が納得せず病院側を脅迫することもありました。私たちは子供たちや家族を救おうとしているのに、彼らを傷つけると思われてしまうのはとても辛いです。
一方、誰かを救うことができると感じられるとき、仕事のやりがいを感じます。
There, sometimes it is necessary to deal with children who have suffered violent abuses. Some are mentally depressed and think about suicide; we have them come to the hospital to protect their own integrity. But if the child or his/her parents do not agree, it is necessary to submit a child custody term, and if it the parents cannot be persuaded, the child can be forcefully hospitalized. In some cases, the child or the parents did not consent and threatened the hospital. It is really sad that they think we intend to harm them, when all we want to do is to save their family.
On the other hand, when we feel we were able to save someone, we feel our job is worthwhile.
