京都市が世界で最も魅力的な観光都市に選ばれました！～米国「Travel+Leisure」誌 読者投票で京都がベストシティランキング世界1位に！～
世界で最も影響力をもつ旅行雑誌のひとつ，「Travel + Leisure（トラベル・アンド・レジャー）」誌が行った読者投票「ワールドベストアワード2015」において，世界の人気都市を決める「ワールドベストシティ」ランキングで，京都が2年連続で1位になりましたのでお知らせします。
Kyoto City was selected as the most attractive sightseeing city in the world. By the ballot casted by those who read US "Travel＋Leisure", Kyoto ranked at top as the best city ranking in the world.
We announce that in "World Best Award 2015," the ballot casted by readers, that was conducted by "Travel＋Leisure", which is one of the most influential travel magazines in the world, Kyoto ranked at the top for 2 years in a row in the ranking of "World Best City" that decides the most popular city in the world.
これは，昨年，京都が日本の都市として初の1位に選ばれて以降も，本市，（公社）京都市観光協会及び（公財）京都文化交流コンベンションビューローにおい て，市民・事業者の皆様と協力して取り組んできたプロモーションと，市民の皆様の御理解・御協力の下，本市が取り組む京都らしい景観の保全・創出や受入環 境整備等，あらゆる施策が総合的に結実したものと考えられます。
本市では，引き続き，観光都市としての質の向上を図り，世界における「KYOTO」ブランドの確立を目指します。
This is considered to be a fruit obtained by our implementation of various policies including promotion that we've worked on in cooperation with citizens and business operators, in our city, (public corporation) the Kyoto City Tourism Association, (public foundation) preservation and creation of traditional Kyoto scenery that we currently engage in under the understanding and cooperation by all of citizens, and development of acceptance environment etc. even after Kyoto was selected as the No.1 city in Japan last year.
In Kyoto, we continue to aim for improved quality as a tourist city and establishment of "KYOTO" brand in the world.

Readers of "Travel + Leisure" are traveling around world and they seek high quality.
Among these, Kyoto stands out as a trip destination which can provide with great many things including excellent scenery, rich culture and variety of enjoyable foods.

「Travel+Leisure」誌は100万部近い売上げを誇る月刊旅行雑誌です。北米のリーダー層が主な読者で，世界的にも強い影響力をもつと言われ ています。「ワールドベストアワード」は同誌で1995年から始まった読者投票ランキングで，世界の観光都市やホテル，クルーズ，旅行会社，航空会社等の カテゴリに分かれます。今回のベストシティの採点ポイントは，風景/旧跡・名所，文化/芸術，レストラン/食べ物，人，買い物，価値の6つです。
The magazine "Travel + Leisure " is a monthly travel magazine , which boasts up to 100 million copies sales. In North American the leader layer is mainly the reader, and it is said to have a strong influence in the world. In " World's Best Awards" magazine the readers vote in rankings beginning from 1995, where they divided tourist cities and hotels of the world, cruises, travel companies, in the category of airlines and such.
