本器は、非磁性金属の材質によって各々電気伝導に差があることを利用し、金属材料に検出用プローブ(接触端子)を押し当ててその差を測定し材質判別をおこなう測定器です。
使用方法は、電気伝導度(IACS単位 %)が既知の基準片(2枚有り)でメータを較正し、未知の材料の電気伝導度を基準パイプと比較測定し材質の判別を行う。
備え付けの基準プレート(値:35.0)でメタルチェッカーの目盛35.0に針を合わせる。次に別の基準片(値:59.5)を測定し針が目盛59.5を指せば計測器は正常である。
This instrument identify materials by pressing the detection probe (contact terminal) on a metallic material and measuring the difference in electrical conductivity based on the fact that each non-magnetic metal has a unique electrical conductivity.
To measure, calibrate the meter with standard pieces ( 2 pieces included) with known electrical conductivity
(IACS Unit %}, then measure the electrical conductivity of the unknown material and compare the value with that of the standard pipe and identify the unknown material.
With the included standard plate (value: 35.0), align the needle to the metal checker gauge at 35.0. Next, measure the other standard piece (value: 59.5) ; if the needle lines up with the 59.5 mark, the instrument is working properly.
