余分な物を造りすぎるために発生するムダで、パレットや箱が余計に必要となったり、余分な運搬作業の増加、材料の先食い、倉庫や置場の増大などが発生する。
TIEでは最も悪いムダと呼んでいる。

Excessive production causes more pallets or cartons to be needed, increases the carriage, advances the pre-consumption of materials, and increases warehousing and storage space.
