工程の進みや加工品の精度などに何ら寄与しない不必要な加工を行う事をいう。
部品や道具の配置が悪いために生じる余分な動作や、作業中に必要な道具を探したり取りに行ったりするムダをいう。仕事がやりにくい原因となる。
不良により加工に要した時間が全くムダになり、生産を阻害してしまう。
不良品が工程内で発見できずに市場に出てしまった場合、不良製品のために失った客の信用は、金で買う事が出来ない。
現状あるものや市販品等の安く直ぐに手に入るもので代替えできないか考える

It shall mean performing unnecessary process that won't do any good to the process progress or accuracy of processed goods.
It shall mean an extra movement caused by the inappropriate display of parts and tools, and extra effort to go and find the tools required during the work. It will be the cause of making the work done much harder.
The time required for processing due to malfunction would be a waste and impede production.
If a defected item goes out in the market without being found in our process, the customer's credibility we lose for it would be priceless.
Come up with an alternative plan for replacing it with something we already have in hand or something cheaper like general purpose goods which can be obtained immediately.
