あなたの使っている計測器の測定値は、「正しい」と自信を持って言えますか？
計測器の性能の善し悪しに関わらず、どんな計測器でも購入時から時間が経過すれば測定値が僅かに変化します、どのくらい変化したのかは、定期的に検査（校正という）をしなければわかりません。
信頼できる測定結果を得るためには、計測器の値が国家標準に適合した状態であることが重要です。（トレーサブル traceable という）
Can you say with confidence that the indicated measured values by your measuring instruments which you use for deciding the specifications and performances of products or judging the acceptance in the shipment inspection and receiving inspection are "right"? Regardless of the quality of the performance of the measuring instruments, every one of them changes slightly its indicated value with the lapse of time after the purchase of the instruments, and you can only know how much it changed them by regular inspection (this is called calibration).
It is important to obtain the reliable result of measurement that the value of the measuring instrument is in a state meeting the national standard (this is called traceable).
