Silicone has a broad range of uses and is used for various purposes ranging from grease/oil to cosmetic products. Organic silicone involves less volatilization of low-molecule siloxane in its operating environment and forms acidic silicone on the contact surface of the switch. In order to make this acidic silicone a non-conductor of electricity for the switch, limitations are placed on the product composition of switches as well as the manufacturing process.
