12月9日、国際ミーティング・エキスポ会場内で 「平成26年度日本政府観光局国際会議誘致・開催貢献賞授賞式」が実施された。
同賞は、国際会議主催者や都市・推進機関の優れた功績を称えることで、国際会議誘致・開催の意義の普及啓蒙やさらなる推進を図るもの。
今回は、平成25年度中に誘致・開催された国際会議が対象となっており、各コンベンション推進機関より過去最多となる35会議の推薦があった。審査委員会での審査を経て、国際会議誘致の部4件、国際会議開催の部8件の計12件が選出された。

On December 9, the Japan national Tourism Organization’s Award Ceremony on Contribution to International Conference on 2014’ was held.
In this event, the person and institutions which contributed to open international conferences won prizes, and it was recommended to spread the importance of invitation and opening of international conferences and to promote those activities.
The prizes were designated based on international conferences held on 2013, then 35 were recommended by each convention promotion institutions, which is all time high. After judging committee’s review, total twelve were elected; among them four were on invitation of international conferences and rest eight on opening of international conferences.

On December 9, "2004 Prize for Attracting and Holding International Conferences from Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) award ceremony" was held at International meeting Expo center.
