普段は外国人観光客がほとんどで、日本人の参加は初めてとのことでした。
当日は、中之島公園付近のバラが咲き始めた時期で、大川（旧淀川）沿いに大阪城まで、ツアーに参加していなければ見られないまちなみ、裏道、見過ごしやすいスポットを丁寧にガイドしてもらいました。
歩いて回っていると、ホームレスを見かけることを覚悟していましたが、橋下市長になってからほとんど見なくなっている、とのことで、実際全く見なかったです。
They said that the participants are mostly foreign tourists and it was their first time having a Japanese.
It was during a season when roses around Nakanoshima park were beginning to blossom and I was courteously guided along Okawa (previously Yodogawa) to Osaka Catle, to places such as streets I would not have seen otherwise, back roads, and spots that are easily overlooked.
I was first expecting to spot the homeless while walking, but there said that they are hardly seen since Mr. Hashimoto became the mayor, and I actually did not see any at all.
初めて訪れる観光地では、自分で調べて短時間に見て回るのは限界があり、ちょっとした観光スポットでも満足に見られないことが多かったですが、ツアーに参加してガイドを受けることで、「ただ行ってきただけ」にならず、ゆったりと、しかし効率的に良い時間を過ごせました。
また機会があればお願いしたいです。
Whenever I visit a tourist spot for the first time, it was difficult to research about the place by myself and look around in a short period of time. I was often not able to fully tour even the simplest tourist spots. By participating in a tour with a guide, I was able to spend a relaxed yet efficient time without feeling like it was a mere visit.
I would love to ask for another guide if the opportunity arises.
