室生寺の境内を巡る
室生寺の境内を散歩。
山の緑にとけ込むように、歴史を感じさせるお堂が立ち並びます。
その奥、長い石段を上った先に見えるのが、五重塔です。
この五重塔も実は国宝。
日本にある五重塔の中で、屋外に立つものとしては最も小さく、また法隆寺の五重塔に次いで二番目に古い塔なのだそうです。
