本日、米国大使館において１番から６番の書類について認証を請求しましたが、米国大使から、「６番の書類にはA氏が大使の面前でサインしたとの記載があるが、これは事実と異なる（A氏は来ていない）ことから、６番の申請は承認できない」と言われ、申請が拒絶されました。
ご存知のように、日本では社長自身が大使館に行ってサインするといったことは通常行われず、会社の印鑑を用いて代理人が手続きをするということが一般的です。

Today, I went to the American Embassy to file the documents No.1 through No. 6 for approvement. However, the ambassador declined his approval for the document No. 6, saying, "The document No. 6 shows that Mr. A has come to the ambassador to sign in his witness, however, it is not true. (As Mr. A has not shown up himself,) I cannot approve the No. 6 document."
As you may know, presidents in Japan do not usually visit the embassies themselves to put signatures. Instead, substitute attorneys are to do the filing procedures using the company seals.
