I don't know if you're aware of the fact that the current tariffs in Italy
for goods coming from outside the EU run to about 25% of the declared value,

すでにご存知かどうか分かりませんが、現在EU以外の場所から輸入される商品には、宣言された値の25％ぐらいの関税がつきます。
so if you report a selling price of 135,00 euro, the duties will be
(including fees) around 35,00 euro!
In my humble opinion, prevention is always better than cure and the fact of
dispatching your ware in such a way as to avoid further spending by the
customer, I think it's way too better than having to issue a partial refund
for any fees paid by the customer, don't you think?
However, if you can confirm that the item you're selling is what I'm lookin'
for, I'll be happy to conclude this purchase from you.

私の愚見では、予防に勝る治療なしだと思います。顧客の追加支出を回避するためにこのような商品発送方法をとるということは、顧客が支払った手数料の一部返金を行うより遙かに良いと思います。そう思いませんか？
