During my eight days at Sundance I consumed a whopping total of 22 movies, which is just shy of 3 films a day. As is the case with attending any festival, I regret missing some of the larger titles that received ample amounts of buzz and acclaim. Chief among those missing from my "watch list" are "Boyhood", "The Raid 2: Bernadal", "Calvary" and "The Voices", all of which Simon Abrams covered here.
No matter; I caught enough movies that I can confidently claim satisfaction. Those despondently decrying Sundance's slate of films this year should look no further than this list, Simon Abrams' list and this piece by Eric Kohn.
Durante mis 8 dias en Sundance consumí un grandísimo total de 22 películas, lo cual es escasamente 3 películas al día. Como es el caso al asistir a cualquier festival, me arrepiento de perderme algunos de los títulos grandes que recibieron amplias cantidades de murmullo y aclamación. Las primeras entre esas que perdí en mi lista de "ver" están Boyhood, The Raid 2: Bernadal, Calvary y The Voices; las cuales todas las cubrió Simon Abrams aquí. No importa, vi suficientes películas y puedo confiadamente darme por satisfecho. Aquellos que desalentaron la cartelera de Sundance este año no deberían mirar más allá de esta lista, la de Simon Abrams y esta pieza de Eric Kohn.
