For the third issue of our City Series, we’ve taken inspiration from our favorite German city: Berlin. The Berlin Yalta combines a mash up of three of our favorite German things -- lederhosen, Bavarian needlepoint, and beer.
The exterior is constructed of a water-resistant “felted” polyester shell and feels like a wool German Army blanket. The zippered external front pocket is an embossed suede material like traditional lederhosen. The floating bucket liner is constructed of 1000 denier truck tarpaulin and has a Bavarian inspired needlepoint pattern created by British illustrator and pattern designer Matt Manson. The Berlin Yalta is finished off with antique brass finished hardware. Prost!

He attended London College of Communication (part of the University of the Arts London). Matt graduated in Surface Design, a course specialising in the key techniques and principles used in the design and printing of paper, textiles and ceramics.
In the summer of 2010 Matt completed an internship with Flavor Paper in Brooklyn, N.Y. Flavor Paper produces vintage, contemporary and custom handmade wallpapers for clients such as Jay – Z, Lenny Kravitz and Urban Outfitters.
Matt spent his time learning the techniques of the trade; making up the customised inks, hand screen printing the wallpapers and of course doing the dirty jobs.

On his return to London Matt found an internship with Nobrow. Nobrow works with illustrators from around the world to produce books, prints and other fine collectable objects.
Nobrow Small Press. Nobrow has a fully equipped screenprint studio on the premises and works with many different artists, illustrators and designers to create beautifully crafted books and prints. The editions are extremely limited: they never do more than 100 of anything.

Exclusively developed by Chrome, we made the fourth color of a French Camo pattern with a special glass-bead print that reflects from a distance up to 100 feet. This compact utility belt keeps essentials safe and organized. It can be worn across the chest or around the waist.
