Sは痴呆症を患っており、12月から夜泣きが一段とひどくなりました。マンションなので吠えられると困る事と、Tがひとりで面倒を見ているために寝不足とイライラが重なり手に負えなくなった事もあり、１２月１６～２０日の間入院させていました。家では夜泣きを減らすために鎮静剤を服用していましたが入院中は薬を服用していませんでした。そのせいか退院直後は非常に元気でしたが、数日するとまた元気がなくなり、23日から全く食べなくなりました。
Because S has dementia, her barking during night has become worse since December. S stayed in the hospital from December 16h to 20th since barking causes troubles in condominium and T was taking care of S by herself and could not handle anymore due to lack of sleep and frustration. S was given a sedative drug at home to reduce barking in the night but not at hospital. That might be the reason that S was very active right after S was released from hospital but she lost energy in a couple of days and stopped eating since 23rd.
Ｓは、26日朝から再入院しました。流動食は口にしている様子です。獣医からは、安楽死も視野に入れるよう言われています。視力はほとんどありません。

S was readmitted to hospital from 26th morning. It seems that she eats liquid food. A veterinary surgeon told me to consider about euthansia. She hardly has eyesight.

Ｓは、いつも笑顔の女の子、というイメージがまず浮かんできました。明るくて愛嬌があり、家族のムードメーカー。少し怖がりで、初対面の人になつくまでは時間がかかる方に感じられました。
Ｓを呼ぶと、日中のようでしたがオレンジ基調で模様のあるカーテンのかかった部屋にいるＳの姿が見えました。カーテンのかかった窓の右隣にテレビがあり、ソファはない感じ、畳か、畳の上にカーペットを敷いたような印象を受けました。
First, I had impression that S is an always smiling girl. S is cheerful, charming and the life of the family. S is a little bit easy to scare, and she seems take time to get used to the person who meets for the first time.
When I called S, it seems during daytime and I saw S in the room that has a curtain based on orange with some pattern. There was a TV on the right side next to the window with a curtain. It seems there was no sofa, and I had impression that they placed a carpet on top of a tatami mat.
コタツかあるいは他の暖房器具が置いてあり温かいので、Ｓはそのお部屋で過ごすのが一番心地いいようです。お宅にはＴさん、Ｔのご主人、それから小学生くらいの女の子がいらっしゃるような感じを受け取りました。
Ｓに、お話してもいいですか？と尋ねると、ニコニコとした笑顔を見せてくれました。「いいですよ」というお返事が聞こえました。
There was either a kotatsu(a low table with a heat source) or other heating elements since the room was warm, therefore this room seems the most comfortable place for S. I had an impression that the family is T, T's husband and an elementary school age girl.
When I asked S if I can talk to you, S showed me a smiling face. I heard a replay saying "Sure.".
