As for the mouse pad, I suppose that Japanese users would prefer without a mouse pad because that is less expensive.
But that depends on the prices of the mouse and the new version. One thing that I can surely say currently is that we do not mind if the mouse pad is not included, but there is a possibility that we may order it.

This model was purchased from a local Looksmart distributor in our Area called AB Models.
The pictures I took at their shop before picking up the model, but when I got the model they actually numbered the model and the one I have in stock has the number written on the base, like all the other ones they do.

I checked it at the “manual mode” and found no problem, but just to be safe, I asked a professional camera shop to check it and the problem was revealed. Did you check to that professional level? You can file a claim to ebay if you want to do so, but I will also file a claim, claiming that you were selling an item which was different from your description.
