Hello!
I am a native Japanese speaker and lived in the US since I was a teenager until I returned to Japan in 2021. I worked for Japanese subsidiaries located in Silicon Valley as an executive assistant, assisting Japanese managers to effectively communicate with their local staff. My responsibilities included daily email translations from Japanese to English and interpreting as needed during meetings. Additionally, I was a licensed real estate broker in the state of Hawaii for 16 years and also worked as a bilingual escrow associate at a local title and escrow company. My duties included translating escrow documents from English into Japanese, going over the documents with the client over the phone, and interpreting during signings as necessary. I am an avid reader and enjoy reading mystery novels in both English and Japanese, sometimes reading the same title in both languages at the same time! (Needless to say, this is time-consuming and frustrating, but it is a fun challenge for me.) I am bi-cultural and well-versed in business correspondence.
