Hello there! I'm excited to share a bit about myself with you. I'm a native Japanese speaker who has lived in the United States since I was a teenager, but I recently moved back to Japan in 2021.
As an executive assistant, I enjoyed working for Japanese subsidiaries in Silicon Valley. My role was to help Japanese managers communicate with their local staff effectively, and I was involved in translations and interpretations.
Apart from my experience as a bilingual assistant, I was a licensed real estate broker in Hawaii for 16 years and worked at a title and escrow company. In addition to brokering sales, I translated contracts and closing documents and acted as an interpreter at escrow signings.
I currently work at a well-known publishing firm in Japan where I assist overseas clients. When I'm not working, I love to read English and Japanese mystery novels. Sometimes, I even read the same title in both languages simultaneously. It can be time-consuming and frustrating, but it's a fun challenge for me!
