Following Microsoft, Amazon introduces a cloud service for machine learning

Amazon Web Services, the largest public cloud in the market, debuted a service today that developers can use to introduce machine learning into their applications.

Andy Jassy, the head of the Amazon cloud, spoke about the new service, Amazon Machine Learning, at the 2015 AWS Summit in San Francisco. It’s available today. This is not the most surprising development in the cloud world, considering that Microsoft announced its own similar service, Azure Machine Learning, last June.

今日、市場最大の公開クラウドであるAmazon Web Servicesは、開発者がアプリケーションに機械学習を導入して使用できるサービスを販売しました。

Amazon Web Servicesのトップを務めるAndy Jassy氏はこの新しいサービスであるAmazon Machine LearningについてSan Franciscoで行われた2015 AWS Summitにて「今日サービスを利用できます。このサービスは、Microsoftが昨年6月に発表した類似サービスAzure Machine Learningがあるので、クラウドの中ではみなさんを一番驚かすような開発製品ではないです。」と述べました。

It will be interesting to see how Google, the other company in the triad of leaders in the cloud infrastructure market — and arguably one of the most significant machine learning companies in the world — will respond to Microsoft and now Amazon making cloud services anyone can use to train models and make predictions as a managed cloud service.

Googleは、クラウド市場リーダー3社のうちの残り1社であり、ほぼ間違いなく、世界における機械学習の最重要企業のうちの1社です。だれもがモデルをトレーニングして、管理されたサービスとして予測しながら使用することができるクラウドサービスを開発したMicrosoft、そして今ではAmazonに今後Googleがどう対応するのか見るのは興味深いところです。
