How to paint a whole car

How to paint a whole car with a peeling clear coat and oxidized base coat. All stages step by step.

Clear coat and base coat on this vehicle are badly damaged

The roof is a real nightmare

Sand the damaged paint areas with an 80 grit sanding disc in order to obtain a perfectly smooth surface

It is strongly recommended to wear a mask respirator for sanding and painting

Using an orbital sander will save you time

Remove the vehicle badges

You can re-glue them with windshield glue or double-sided tape used to fix door side protectors

The sanded surface must be perfectly smooth

Rinse the vehicle

Degrease the body with dishwashing liquid

Remove the rear-view mirrors

Come verniciare un'auto

Come verniciare un'auto con vernice scrostata e vernice ossidata. Il procedimento passo passo.

Dismantle the gun and clean the filter and nozzle

Let the primer dry for 2 to 3 hours then sand the entire body with 350 grit sanding disc

Sanding will smooth the primer as well as the old paint

Rinse the vehicle and degrease the body with dishwashing liquid

The vehicle is ready for painting

La vernice utilizzata è costituita da due componenti (vernice + indurente).

Proporzione di 2:1 + 10% di diluente.

Se notate una colatura, è possibile rimuoverla dopo l'asciugatura della vernice (2 ore).

Per rimuovere un eccesso di vernice, essa deve essere inumidita e la levigatura deve avvenire a mano, prima con carta vetrata di grana 320 e poi di grana 600 (sempre inumidita).

Dopodiché sarà sufficiente spruzzare la vernice sulla zona levigata e il segno della colatura sarà svanito.
