Robert replies, "Because I'm black.") It features one good performance from Dennis, who struggles to show us a real woman doing her best to live up to her expectations for herself and accept love into her life again. But Dennis can't save the whole thing. It's too big of a mess.

A intenção de "Black Coffee" é boa. Possui algumas ideias interessantes e excitantes, e um par de frases engraçadas (Morgan fala para Robert, "Como eu sei que você não é um serial killer?" Ele apresenta um bom desempenho de Dennis, que se esforça para nos mostrar uma mulher de verdade fazendo o seu melhor para viver de acordo com as expectativas para si mesma e aceitar o amor em sua vida novamente.
