TECHFUND：具体的に弊社のどこに興味を感じていただけたのでしょうか。

濱口：最初にTECHFUNDさんからご連絡があったときには「ブロックチェーンの会社です」と紹介いただいたのですが、実際にミーティングでお会いしたときに「実はブロックチェーンの話がしたくてミーティングをセッティングしたわけじゃないんです！」と言われて……なんだこのユニークな会社は、と（笑）。そんなご縁から、先ほどお話したドリカムプロジェクトやオープンイノベーションを進めるなかで抱えていた課題をご相談させていただいたんですよね。

Hamaguchi: When TECHFUND first contacted us, they introduced us as ``a blockchain company,'' but when we actually met at a meeting, they said, ``Actually, I wanted to talk about blockchain, so I set up a meeting.'' That's not what I did!'' I was like, ``What kind of unique company is this?'' (laughs) Because of this connection, I consulted with him about the issues I was facing while promoting open innovation and the DreamCam project that I mentioned earlier.

山本：今まさに新規事業開発を進めるスタート地点だと思います。社員の方に起業家精神をもってもらうために意識したいことがあれば教えてください。

野村：社内コンペティションでアワードを獲得した社員には、就業時間の20％のキャパシティを使ってそのアイディアの実証実験を進めてほしいと考えています。重視したのは、新規事業開発にかかるコストや時間を「会社の業務の一部」だと捉えてもらうことですね。本業に加えるかたちで“付け足し的”に新規事業開発に取り組んでもらうのではなく、会社の業務の一部として進めてほしいという思いから、このようなコミットの仕方を決定しました。

Nomura: We would like employees who win an award in an internal competition to use 20% of their working time to carry out proof-of-concept experiments on their ideas. What we focused on was making sure that the costs and time required to develop a new business were seen as ``part of the company's operations.'' We decided to make this commitment because we wanted them to develop new business as a part of the company's business, rather than having them work on new business development as an "additional addition" to their core business.

普段の業務を並行しながら20%の時間を新規事業に使ってもらうことで、新規事業創出の推進効果を期待しています。

山本：従来までの新規事業創出の取り組みを徹底的に強化されていくのですね。具体的に「こんな社員に参加してほしい」という思いはありますか。

野村：基本的には社員全員に参加してほしいですね。年齢やポジション、部署で区切るのではなく、あらゆる人々を巻き込んで動いていける全社的な制度にしていきたいと考えています。

赤木：個人的には新規事業創出が盛んな企業＝若い世代の社員が多い、というイメージがあって。ですが、東京ドームは若手社員から個性豊かな年配社員まで年齢層が広いんですよね。東京ドームが歩んできた歴史を見てきたうえで、今後のビジョンを心の中で描いている方も多いんです。そんなベテラン社員とフレッシュな思考を持った若手社員がタッグを組むことで、年齢や経験の垣根を越えた面白い提案を生み出してくれるのでは、と考えています。
