The majestic Phoenix Hall at Byodo-in Temple in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, was unveiled on Thursday after a year’s worth of major repairs and restoration.

The Amida-do hall, famed for its picturesque façade that is reflected in the pond in front of the hall, underwent a series of renovations, including repainting columns, replacing roof bricks and restoring its phoenix statues.

The completion of restoration work signifies the return of the “spirit” to the seated statue of Amitabha Tathagata.

“The history of Byodo-in is also a history of repairs,” Monsho Kamii, the head priest of Byodo-in, said after a special ceremony to celebrate the temple’s reopening.

Japanese government and industry leaders braced for premeditated hacking attacks in an extensive cyber security drill, the first for the country as it gears up to host the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Around 50 cyber defense specialists gathered at an emergency response center in Tokyo to dodge simulated attacks across 21 state ministries and agencies and 10 industry associations, said Ikuo Misumi, a hacking expert at Japan’s state-run National Information Security Center.

“It’s not that we haven’t put effort into cyber security, but we are certainly behind the US,” Ichita Yamamoto, the cabinet minister in charge of IT policy and is leading the effort to boost cyber security, said in an interview with Reuters.

The closing film, No no Nanana no ka comes courtesy of director Nobuhiko Obayashi, known for his brilliant—and utterly bonkers—1977 cult horror-comedy ‘Hausu’.

Ipu is a Quasimodo-type character, who lives in a garret, listening to a scratchy recording of "The Marseilleise" and dreaming of his glory days as a French soldier. Ipu is unaware that he is being set up as the fall guy. He trusts the people who have taken him in, failing to recognize cruelty when it is right in front of him. He is swayed by Father Johanis' descriptions of the hero's funeral he will be given and the huge gravestone with gold-plated letters they will place in the cemetery for him.

On the day of our departure, we bravely rode on one of the smallest planes I had ever seen (seeing its size gave me pause, but there really was no backing out at that point). It was no luxury jet, but it did promise to get us to the island of Caticlan in about 45 minutes. From there, it was only a 5-minute shuttle ride, a 10-minute ferry and another 5- minute shuttle to our tiny resort.

Our resort wasn’t the overly expensive beachfronts touted on travel magazines. It was a homey resort nestled at the back of the island’s beachfront stores, but it took only a short stroll through a small path to get to the island’s famous shores. Yes, taking a chance on that small resort was certainly worth it.

Am Tag des Abfluges, stiegen wir mit Mut auf das kleinste Flugzeug die ich je gesehen hatte (als ich ihre Größe sah, habe ich gezögert aber es war schon zu spät umzukehren). Zwar war es kein Düsenflugzeug, versprach es uns eine gute Landung auf der Caticlan Insel, binnen 45 Minuten zu liefern. Dort angekommen, war es nur eine 5 Minuten lange Shuttle-Fahrt, 10 Minuten auf der Fähre und dann noch 5 Minuten mit der Shuttle zu unserem winzigen Urlaubsort.

Unser Resort war nicht von der teueren Sorte am Strand, von wessen Urlaubmagazine bedeckt sind. Stattdessen, war es eine gemütliche Urlaubstelle, die sich hinter den Strandgeschäften angeschmiegt hatte; jedoch war es nur ein kleinen Spaziergang auf einem Pfad zu der berühmten Küste der Insel. Ja, dem Risiko mit dem kleinem Resort einzugehen, hatte sich bestimmt gelohnt.

It was already lunchtime when we arrived and what better place to look for seafood than on an island? We headed straight for D’Talipapa, a wet market filled with fresh catches of the day where you can literally take your pick at a very reasonable price.

For an additional fee, any of the small carinderias (eateries) by the wet market would cook it for you as well. For a total of P1200 (27USD) we were able to get chili crabs, baked oysters, grilled oysters, and blue marlin right on our tables. Suffice it to say, we were satisfied and the smiles on our faces were a testament to that.

Es war schon Mittag als wir ankamen, und wo anders nach Meeresfrüchte zu suchen als auf der Insel? Wir gingen direkt zur D'Talipapa, ein nasses Marktplatz gedeckt mit den frischen Fang des Tages. Man konnte sich wirklich jede Wahl, zu einem vernünftigen Preis, leisten.

Für ein Gebühr, jede der kleinen carinderias (Esslokale) am nassem Marktplatz, konnte es für dich vorbereiten. Für insgesamt P1200 (27USD) konnten wir Chili-Krabbe, gebackene Austern und blauer Marlin direkt am Tafel bestellen. Es genügt zu sagen dass wir zufrieden waren und die Lächeln auf unseren Gesichtern waren ein Beweis dazu.

This is Moulin Academy, a private high school that has gathered superior students that excel at their art from countries all around the world.
It has been decided that the students who have been gathered for a summer training camp will be practising a play based on "Run, Melos, Run", written by Showa Japan literary master Dazai Osamu.


The one who has undertaken the writing of the play scenarios is Atezuki Jun. He should be entering Moulin Academy high school next year.

It becomes a question about the trust and bonds between people.
Surrounding this play, the "forms of love" that each believes in will be confronted...

Aceasta este Academia Moulin, un liceu privat care recrutează elevi superiori, care excelează în arta lor, din toate ţarile lumii.
S-a decis ca elevii care s-au adunat pentru o tabără de antrenament peste vară, vor exersa şi juca într-o piesă care se bazează pe "Fugi, Melos, fugi" scrisă de maestrul de literatură japoneză Showa, Dazai Osamu.

Persoana care s-a ocupat de scrierea scenariilor piesei, este Atezuki Jun. El ar trebui să intre la liceul Academia Moulin în urmatorul an.

Se ridică o întrebare legată de încrederea şi relaţiile dintre oameni.
