Maria Calabretta (calmar64)
I am an Italian native speaker, and having spent my childhood in USA, I’m fluent in English, although I have lived in Italy for most of my life. I graduated in Italy in 1982. I have been working for the past 18 years in the City Hall of the little town in southern Italy in which I live. I also worked as interpreter on the occasion of Reginald Green's (the father of Nicholas, the little boy who was killed while on vacation in Calabria with his family) visit to our town, for the inauguration of a School dedicated to the memory of his child. I’m more than comfortable communicating in any of my working languages. I have been translating for my family and friends all my life and in the past six years, I have completed many freelance translations and proofreading for various translation agencies. I’m confident that I have the necessary skills and experience to complete your projects to the highest of standards. I prefer translating general texts, literature, entertainment, correspondence, travel and tourism, brochures, real estate, certificates, etc., but I also have experience in translating various different topics.
