Immediately Octavian sent word to him that he was ready to stand beside his bed with his own retinue to keep him safe, for he thought that the plot had been laid by some of the party of Brutus and Cassius. He was thus in readiness to do an act of kindness entirely unsuspicious of the rumor Antonius had started or of the plot. Antonius, however, did not even permit the messenger to be received indoors, but dismissed him discourteously. The messenger returned after hearing fuller reports and announced to Octavian that his name was being mentioned among the men about Antonius' door as being himself the man who had despatched the assassins against Antonius, who were now in prison.

Octavian at first did not believe it because of its improbable sound,but soon he perceived that the whole plan had been directed against himself, so he considered with his friends as to what he should do. His mother came also, at a loss over the strange turn of affairs, and desiring to know what the report meant and what were Antonius' intentions.They advised Octavian to withdraw from the city at once for a few days until the matter could be investigated and cleared up.He, unconscious of any guilt, thought that it would be a serious matter for him to conceal himself and in a way incriminate himself,for he would gain nothing toward his safety by withdrawing, while he might the more easily be destroyed in secret.

Crowdfunding in Japan - From Japan ! Space probe by private foundation. A Project to launch a dream to the moon

ピーター・ディアマンディスが設立した民間発の宇宙開発を促進・援助する財団、『X Prize Foundation』。X Prize FoundationにはGoogleを立ち上げたラリー・ページ、セルゲイ・ブリン、マイクロソフトのビル・ゲイツのビル&メリンダ財団、Amazon.comのジェフ・ベゾス、ヴァージンのリチャード・ブランソンなど、インターネットビジネスの”成功者”が数多く関わっている。

'X Prize Foundation', a foundation established by Peter H. Diamandis with the aim of developing and supporting space exploitation. Many of 'the top of the heap winners' of Internet business including Bill Gate's Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Amazon.com's Jeffrey Bezos, Virgin's Richard Branson are involved in the project.

そのX Prize Foundationが運営し、Googleがスポンサーとなっているコンテストが、『Google Lunar X Prize』である。Google Lunar X Prizeは、2007年に開始された「民間が開発した無人探査機で月面を探査し、規定の条件をクリアしたチームに賞金が与えられる」という宇宙開発コンテストである。

'Google Lunar X Prize' is a contest which Prize Foundation hosts and Google sponsors. Google Lunar X Prize is a space probe contest started in 2007 in which the participants explore the moon surface by a robot craft developped in private companies and teams who clear the established condition are awarded.

このコンテストに日本から参加しているのが『White Label Space』。月面ローバー（探査車）を日本の民間組織において独自に開発しているチームだ。

White Label Space（WLSJ）はローバーの小型化を目指して開発を進めており、小型ローバーのプロトタイプの製作費および一部の実験費を調達するためCampfireで資金調達を実施。

¥2,000,000に設定された目標金額に対し、¥2,301,520を調達してプロジェクトは2012/12/04にSUCCESSした。

The team that participate in this contest from Japan is 'White Label Space'. The team is developping its own Moon surface rover(robot craft) in a Japanese private organization.

White Label Space（WLSJ）is developping the Monn rover looking to reduce its size. It raised the funds to build prototype small sized rover and put it to the tests.

The team sees a success of the project in December 4, 2012, raising ¥2,301,520 toward the target amount ¥2,000,000.

同作品は、日本のカラスを描くという主題から出発し、画材に和紙、墨汁、岩絵の具を採用。普段ではあまり採用されることのない画材を選択することで、新たな映像表現の可能性を広げることを目指している。

マルチプレーンカメラを利用した制作手法は、PCが普及した現代ではほとんど行われていない。この技法は映像にデジタル処理だけでは表現できない特有の空気感や暖かみを持たせることが可能となっており、その価値を発信するというのもこのプロジェクトの目的のひとつ。

It was started under the theme <draw Japanese crow>, using Japanese paper, liquid ink and natural mineral pigments as materials. By choosing materials scarcely used,he aims to expand the possibility of new picture expressions.

Since PC has become common, a production method by using a multi-plane camera is rarely used at the present day. This technique enables him to express distinctive atmosphere and a warm feel in the images which can not be expressed just by digital processing. Transmitting its value is one of the aims of this project.

CAMPFIREでは制作費の一部として30万円を募った。プロジェクトは2012/12/13にSUCCESSし、パトロンの募集を終了している。同作品の完成は2013年の春を予定。

CAMPFIRE asked for subscriptions at a cost of ¥ 300,000 for a portion of the production costs. The project was successfully accomplished on December 13, 2012 and closed the subscriptions. The work will be finished in the spring of 2013.

「浮世絵×デジタルコミック」、日本の伝統的なイラストレーションと、先端のメディア表現の融合を図るプロジェクトがCAMPFIREに掲載された。

'Ukiyo-e×Digital comics', a project which attempt to create a fusion of Japanese traditional illustration and advanced media representation
was published in CAMPFIRE.

プロジェクトの投稿者は、イラストの仕事をしながら漫画家を目指している萱島雄太氏。学生時代よりデジタルと漫画を融合させる試みを実施し、Adobe Flashで制作した「Manga2.0」、「HACK TO THE BRAIN」の二作が、文化庁メディア芸術祭にて審査委員会推薦作品に選出された他、現在は誰でも電子書籍を作成・販売できるサイト「ブクログのパプー」にて縦スクロールに特化させた縦長デジタルコミック「西遊少女」を配信している。

The author of the project is Yuta Kayashima, who wants to become a cartoonist working as an illustrator. He has attempted to combine digital technology and Manga since his school days. His two works 'Manga2.0' and 'HACK TO THE BRAIN', created in Adobe Flash was elected as the eligible works by judging committee at Cultural Affairs Agency's Art Festival. Besides, he currently delivers vertical scroll-specialized digital comic 'Saiyu Shoyo' in 'Booklog's Papuu', the website which allows anyone to creat and sell digital books.

同氏は、2013年1月〜3月の期間にメキシコで開催される浮世絵をテーマにした現代美術の展示に参加できることに。その展示では、プロジェクターに投影した作品を鑑賞者にマウスで操作してもらう、インタラクティブ・コミックとでも呼ぶべきインスタレーションを展示予定。

展示される作品は以下のようなものとなっている。

Now he will be able to participate in the Exposition of modern art under the theme of Ukiyo-e. In the exposition, he is planning to display an installation which may be called as an 'interactive comics', that allows viewers to operate the works displayed on the projector with the mouse.

The following work will be displayed at the exposition.

The startup had previously raised seed funding from East Ventures, an early stage fund based in Jakarta, Singapore, and Tokyo.

Indonesia has experienced an ecommerce boom, and the fashion space is a part of it. According to a research report by DailySocial and Veritrans, the size of the country’s ecommerce market is around USD 900M.

Some of Berrybenka’s competitors include Scallope, BelowCepek, LocalBrand, FimelaShop, and of course, Rocket Internet’s Zalora. The latter is extremely well-funding, having secured millions in funding from JP Morgan last year.

With this funding announcement, Berrybenka joins a new crop of fashion ecommerce startups in Asia that have shown initial traction and are now looking to scale rapidly.

Clozette and Reebonz, both Singapore-based companies, raised Series A rounds last year.
GREE Ventures has been actively investing in Indonesia’s ecommerce startups. It led a Series B investment round in price comparison site PriceArea last year, as well as a Series A round in Bukalapak, which sells consumer tech and fashion products.

Octavian heard all this and saw that the people's zeal for him was natural; he then entered the Capitol and saw there many more of his father's soldiers, on whom Antonius was relying, but who were really far better disposed toward himself, if Antonius should try to injure him in any way. The marjority of the throng withdrew and the two leaders with their friends were left to discuss the situation.When Octavian went home after his reconciliation with Antonius, the latter, left to himself, became provoked again at seeing the good will of all the soldiers inclining very much toward Octavian.

They were satisfied with this and agreed to conduct him into the Capitol and act as mediators in the reconciliation if he should so desire. He then assented and immediately went up into the Temple of Jupiter, and sent them after Octavian.They were pleased and went to his house in a great body, so that he felt some anxiety when it was announced that there was a large crowd of soldiers outside and that some were in the house looking for him. In his agitation, he first went upstairs with h is friends who happened to be present, and looking down, asked the men what they wanted and why they had come, and then he discovered that they were his own soldiers.

They answered that they had come for his own good and that of his whole party, if he also was willing to forget what Antonius had done, for his actions had not been pleasing to them either; that he and Antonius ought to put aside all resentment and be reconciled simply and sincerely. Then one of them called out in a somewhat louder voice and bade him be of good cheer and be assured that he had inherited all their support, for they thought of his late father as a god, and would do and suffer anything for his successors. Another one shouted out still more loudly and said that he would make away with Antonius with his own hands if he did not observe the provisions of Caesar's will and keep faith with the Senate.
