Learn How to Speak “American”

Sometimes different accents are so difficult to understand, they sometimes sound like a different language all together. Originally in Beijing, many American friends couldn’t understand my Australian English accent. But after hanging out with so many for so long, my accent has become a blend where sometimes even Americans think I am American.

言葉のアクセントが違うと時に大変理解が難しくなる。繋げて話すとまるで別な言語のように聞こえるものだ。
最初に北京でのこと、多くのアメリカ人の友人は私のオーストラリア英語のアクセントが理解できなかった。
しかし長い期間頻繁に会っていると、私のアクセントはブレンドされてきて、アメリカ人でさえ私をアメリカ人と
思う事もあるほどになったのだ。

Touch: Beginning around 4-6 months, babies explore using not only their hands but also their mouths. Babies put everything in their mouths because this is an effective way for them to explore their environment and learn about it.

Vision: Baby is now able to follow an object with his eyes to 180°, as far as his head turns. Baby’s focus has improved and he is able to see at greater distances now. More colors continue to become visible. Eye contact with others begins and baby will begin to mimic facial expressions.

Touch: Baby will deliberately reach for objects at 3 months of age and is developing head and neck control. Baby may begin rolling from side to side at this age as well.

感触：生後4－6か月頃から赤ちゃんは手だけではなく口を使って探り始めます。赤ちゃんはなんでも口に入れてしまいますが、この方法が自分の環境を探って覚えていくのに効果的な方法なのです。

視覚：この頃赤ちゃんは首を動かして180度の視覚で物を眼で追う事が出来ます。焦点を合わせる能力が発達し、より遠くまで見ることができます。見える色が増え続け、人と視線を合わせて表情のマネも始めます。

感触：生後3カ月で赤ちゃんは自分の意思で物に手を伸ばし首が座ってきます。
両側に寝返りを打つこともできるようになるでしょう。

Hold baby facing outward, so baby can see things in her environment. Walk baby to objects and describe what you are seeing and feeling.
Offer a toy with high contrast and red colors. Baby is better able to distinguish this coloration at this age.
Place a developmental mobile in baby’s crib, one with high contrasts, mirror surfaces and bold colors. You may or may not turn on the music. Take a cue from baby whether he prefers music, noise or a quiet time.

赤ちゃんを外側に向けて抱っこしてあげてください。外界の環境を見ることができます。何か物に歩み寄って
あなたの見ている物感じている事を表現してあげてください。
赤や目立つ色のおもちゃを与えてください。この月齢の赤ちゃんはこのような色合いを良く区別できます。
ベビーベッドに発達のため気を引くような物を置いてあげましょう。目立って鏡のように反射したり、はっきりした色の

For the first 7 months of development we focus on developing the senses, moving from senses to perceptions around 4 months of age.

At 8 months we move to more broad terms of development and focus on Physical, Cognitive and Social/Emotional development milestones.

What You Can Do:
*Talk to your baby. Tell him/her everything that you are doing.
*Offer baby a high contrast toy. Baby may grasp and hold on tightly for a few minutes.
*Hold, rock and cuddle baby. Babies love to be touched and held.

生後7か月間は感覚の発達を重視します。感覚から認知の発達へと重点が移るのは
生後4が月頃です。

8か月になるとより多様な項目の発達に移り、身体的、精神的、社会的/感情的な発達段階に注目します。

できること：
*赤ちゃんに話しかける。あなたが今行っている事を赤ちゃんに話してあげてください。
*目立つおもちゃを与える。赤ちゃんはつかんで、少しの間しっかりにぎりしめるでしょう。
*だっこ、ゆすったりあやす。赤ちゃんは触れられたりだっこされるのが大好きです。
