現在の2つのパーツから構成されるビンディングでは、理論上では前方と回旋の力でリリースされるように設計されているが、力がかかる強さによってビンデングのリリースが遅くなったり全く起きない場合があることも報告されている。

このように道具自体がケガのリスクファクターになっている報告が多く見られるが、スキーをする前の道具の調整やチェックについては意見が別れている。

今後の道具の改善が必要であるかもしれない.
