The reasons why it’s so popular is that It’s closer than Tokyo, it’s easy to access because of many LCC flights, and it’s also it’s easy to access Nara, Kobe, and Kyoto from Osaka. I also hear that another reason why Osaka is so popular is due to the fact that you can interact with Japanese people and really experience Japan through the locals and the culture in Osaka while Tokyo is a busy city as it’s a big city.
